Boboye Says Shortage of Natural Strikers Is Hurting NPFL Clubs
Bendel Insurance coach Kennedy Boboye says the lack of quality natural strikers is a wider problem in the Nigeria Premier Football League, not just an issue for his team. His comments followed Bendel Insurance’s 2-1 win over Ikorodu City in Benin. Chinedu Nwosu opened the scoring before Farouk Salami equalised for the visitors. Alex Oweilayefa then struck late to secure all three points for the home side. Boboye said his team created plenty of chances but struggled to convert them. He explained that some players used as attackers are naturally wingers, adding that the club will keep working on its finishing ahead of the trip to face Abia Warriors.
