Police Arrest Suspected POS Robber With Pistol at Enugu Hotel

Police in Enugu State have arrested a 26-year-old man suspected of armed robbery at a hotel in Obollo Etiti, Udenu Local Government Area. Officers reportedly acted on a tip-off about the suspect's movements on August 10. A search of his bag allegedly led to the recovery of a locally made pistol and one live cartridge. Police said the suspect allegedly confessed during preliminary questioning to belonging to a gang that targeted and robbed POS operators. Other alleged gang members reportedly fled after his arrest, and police say efforts to trace them are ongoing. The suspect is expected to be charged after investigations are concluded.
