Zulkifilu, Rilwan and Nworie Set the Early Pace in NPFL Golden Boot Race
Ranchers Bees striker Mohammed Rabiu Zulkifilu, Doma United forward Sadiq Rilwan and Kano Pillars defender Fabian Nworie are leading the early race for the NPFL Golden Boot after two matchweeks. Zulkifilu moved top of the chart with a hat-trick in Ranchers Bees’ 4-0 win over Abia Warriors in Katsina. It was his first start of the season, and it took his tally to three goals. Rilwan has scored in both league matches for Doma United, finding the net against Sporting Lagos and Inter Lagos. Nworie also made headlines after the centre-back scored twice in Kano Pillars’ 3-2 victory over Niger Tornadoes. The season is still young, but the goalscoring battle is already shaping up to be an exciting one.
