Reported Ebola Patient Evacuated from Abuja by Air Ambulance
A woman confirmed to have Ebola has reportedly been evacuated from Nigeria aboard an air ambulance through the private jet terminal at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. The patient, said to be a 42-year-old woman who arrived in Abuja from Uganda via Addis Ababa, reportedly developed symptoms on October 7 and tested positive on October 20. Video footage showed ambulances and diplomatic vehicles at the airport, while officials restricted access to the private aviation section. The NCDC says 53 primary contacts have been identified and placed under monitoring. A suspected case in Rivers State has tested negative, while the Federal Government had yet to officially confirm the reported evacuation or disclose the patient’s destination.
