Suspected Terrorists Kill Butchers Association Leader and Vigilante Member in Faskari, Katsina

Suspected terrorists attacked Ruwan Godiya village in Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State on April 21, 2026. Security sources report that troops under Operation FANSAN YAMMA arrived around 1:25 p.m. and found Saadu Amadu, leader of the Butchers Association of Nigeria in Ruwan Godiya, shot dead in his compound by a suspected kingpin known as Dogo Musa. The assailants fled before troops could engage them. Search operations and patrols have been intensified to apprehend the perpetrators. A few days earlier in Yankara, another suspect killed vigilante member Labiru Namada outside his home. Residents say Namada had survived several previous attacks and was a key local security volunteer.
