Femi Azeez Named in 2025/26 PFA Championship Team of the Year

Super Eagles forward Femi Azeez has been named in the 2025/26 PFA Championship Team of the Year after an impressive campaign with Millwall. The 25-year-old recorded 11 goals and eight assists in the league, earning recognition from his fellow professionals. His club form also earned him his first Nigeria call-up in May 2026. Azeez made a strong early impression for the Super Eagles, scoring twice against Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final and assisting Terem Moffi in Nigeria’s 3-0 final win over Jamaica. Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney was named Championship PFA Players’ Player of the Year, while Coventry City had six players in the Team of the Year.
