Obidient Movement Denies Report of Yunusa Tanko’s Removal as Coordinator

The Obidient Movement has denied reports that Peter Obi removed Dr Yunusa Tanko as its National Coordinator. In a statement, the movement described the claim as fabricated. It said Obi did not authorise anyone to announce Tanko’s removal and that Tanko remains the recognised coordinator. The group said its official announcements come only through authorised channels. It urged supporters and the public to verify political claims before sharing them, warning that false information may increase as election activities draw closer. It also called for an investigation into those allegedly circulating unauthorised political messages in the names of Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the Obidient Movement.
