Como Thrash Lens 9-1 to Match 55-Year European Cup Record
Champions League newcomers Como 1907 matched a 55-year European Cup record with a stunning 9-1 away victory over RC Lens on Wednesday. It was the first time a team had scored nine away goals in the competition since Feyenoord beat Olympiakos Nicosia 9-0 in 1971. Como led 3-0 at half-time after Tasos Douvikas scored twice and Nico Paz added another. They scored six more after the break, taking their tally to 19 goals in four matches. The Italian side had also beaten RB Leipzig and Manchester United.
