El-Kanemi Warriors unveil Emmanuel King as new technical adviser
El-Kanemi Warriors have officially introduced Emmanuel King as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 season. The unveiling took place on Friday at the Colonel Abdulmumin Aminu Camp in Maiduguri. King replaces Kabiru Dogo, who left the club at the end of last season after leading the Borno Army to victory in the 2026 President Federation Cup. Dogo has since taken over as head coach of Niger Tornadoes. Despite winning the Federation Cup, El-Kanemi Warriors were relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League last season and will compete in the Nigeria National League in the new campaign. The club has charged King with the task of guiding them back to the NPFL while also preparing for the CAF Confederation Cup. King thanked the Borno State Government and supporters for the opportunity. He promised to work hard to help the team achieve its targets, saying the club would give its best in both the league and the continental competition.
