Brother of Slain Okon Aku Leader Praises Governor Otti, Demands Justice

Mr. Igwe Uma Akwu, younger brother of the late Hon. Igwe Akuma, has commended Governor Alex Otti for quickly stepping in after the crisis in Okon Aku, Abia State. He described his brother’s killing as heartbreaking and praised the state government for setting up a seven-member panel of inquiry and accepting its report. He says the action has restored hope in their community. While expressing gratitude for the intervention, he urged authorities to prosecute those responsible. He believes swift justice will honour his brother’s memory and help prevent future violence in Okon Aku. The crisis had led to loss of life and property in the community, prompting the state government to investigate the incident.
