Referee Who Oversaw Super Eagles’ Rwanda and Lesotho Wins Named for Madagascar Clash
Chadian referee Alhadji Allaou Mahamat will officiate Nigeria’s opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Madagascar in Uyo on Friday. The 40-year-old previously handled the Super Eagles’ 1-0 home win over Rwanda and their 2-1 victory against Lesotho in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Mahamat has also taken charge of matches in the CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup, Africa U-20 Cup of Nations and African Nations Championship.
