Jesus Heals Two Men and Sends Demons into a Herd of Pigs

When Jesus reached the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men ran to meet Him. They were so violent that no one dared pass by their tombs. The demons shouted, “Have You come to torment us before the appointed time?” Nearby, a large herd of pigs was feeding. The evil spirits begged Jesus to allow them to enter the animals. He gave permission, and the demons left the men and rushed into the pigs. The entire herd plunged down a steep bank into the sea and drowned. Frightened herdsmen fled to the town to report everything. When the people saw what had happened, they pleaded with Jesus to leave their region.
