Dangote Received 52.6m Barrels as Local Refinery Crude Supply Hit 97.4% in Q2

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission says domestic refiners received 53.7 million barrels of crude oil and condensate in the second quarter of 2026, representing 97.4% of allocated volumes under the Domestic Crude Supply Obligation. Dangote Refinery received 52.6 million barrels, about 98% of all crude supplied to local refineries during the quarter. Producers offered 69.3 million barrels against an allocation of 55.1 million barrels, but 15.6 million barrels were not taken up under commercial arrangements. PENGASSAN President Festus Osifo said the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries were shut because processing crude was unprofitable, not because they were completely non-functional. He backed plans for private majority investment in the refineries and said the union would support Dangote Refinery's proposed expansion.
