Delta Police Arrest 11 More Suspects in Ozoro “Raping Festival” Probe
The Delta State Police have arrested eleven additional suspects in connection with the sexual assaults recorded during a so-called “raping festival” at Oramudu Quarters, Ozoro, on March 19. SP Bright Edafe, the command spokesperson, said the Special Assignment Team reviewed video evidence and intelligence to identify these individuals. They include Samson Atukpodo, Steven Ovie, Ugbevo Samson, Afoke Akporobaro, Evidence Oguname, and six others, bringing the total in custody to fifteen. Preliminary findings show these acts were criminal and not part of any cultural practice. Commissioner of Police Aina Adesola condemns the violence and urges victims and witnesses to come forward. All information will be treated with strict confidentiality as investigations continue.
