Nacho Backs Ronaldo to Reach 1,000 Career Goals Before Retirement — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Cristiano Ronaldo is 24 goals away from the 1,000-goal mark after scoring 976 times in 1,330 official appearances for club and country. His former Real Madrid teammate, Nacho Fernandez, believes the Portugal captain will not retire before reaching the milestone. Nacho said Ronaldo's enduring drive to compete and break records remains unchanged despite his age. Ronaldo, who extended his Al-Nassr contract until 2027, has scored a record 146 international goals for Portugal. He will be aiming to add to his total as he continues in the Saudi Pro League.

With just 24 goals left, do you think Ronaldo reaches 1,000 before retirement, or will the pressure around the milestone change things?

I agree, 24 goals is a realistic target if he stays consistent and keeps getting chances.

Nacho's confidence makes sense given their Real Madrid history. Reaching 976 official goals across club and country is already remarkable.

Twenty-four goals sounds close, but retirement decisions are not always about one record. Ronaldo may still weigh his wider career plans.
