Desmond Elliot Seeks Reconciliation With Gbajabiamila After Lagos APC Rift
Former Lagos lawmaker and actor Desmond Elliot has appealed for reconciliation with Femi Gbajabiamila after a dispute linked to his bid to retain the Surulere Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Reports said the Lagos APC leadership backed Barakat Odunuga-Bakare for the seat and asked Elliot to step aside. Elliot later withdrew from the party primary, alleging that his supporters faced pressure and intimidation. In a public message, Elliot thanked Gbajabiamila for his support and described him as a mentor. He said no political ambition or temporary disagreement should damage their long-standing relationship, and reaffirmed his commitment to the APC and the development of Surulere.
