Golden Eaglets Thrash Simonben Academy, Draw Galadima FC in WAFU B U-17 Build-Up

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets continued preparations for the 2026 WAFU B U-17 Championship with two friendly matches in Abuja. The five-time world champions beat Simonben Academy of Kaduna 4-0 at the FIFA Goal Project pitch inside the MKO Abiola National Stadium. After taking a narrow lead into half-time, the Eaglets scored three more goals after the break to complete a convincing win. Their second match against Abuja-based Galadima FC proved more difficult. The Eaglets created chances but could not break down a disciplined defence, as the game ended 0-0. The WAFU B U-17 Championship will hold in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from October 4 to 17.
