Ondo Police Arrest Driver in Abuja After He Stole Employer’s Car

The Ondo State Police Command says detectives have arrested a personal driver who stole his employer’s vehicle and tracked him to Abuja. According to a statement, the suspect, 40-year-old Adesola Ogunrotifa, was hired in July 2025. On 5 July 2026, he drove his employer to a church service in Akure but abandoned her and fled with her Hyundai saloon car. Police from B-division Akure used credible intelligence to locate the stolen vehicle in Abuja. The car was recovered intact, and Ogunrotifa has been charged in court. The Commissioner of Police praised the team’s swift action and urged residents to report suspicious activities for quick response.
