FCMB and Mastercard Launch AgroPass to Link Nigerian Farmers With Finance and Markets
FCMB and Mastercard have launched AgroPass, a digital platform aimed at helping smallholder farmers across Nigeria access finance, farm inputs, technical support and reliable markets. The platform connects farmers with lenders, suppliers, buyers, agribusinesses and other players in the agricultural value chain. It is designed to improve productivity, strengthen farmers’ businesses and make agricultural transactions more visible and transparent. FCMB says it provided more than ₦364.6 billion in agricultural financing in 2025, reaching over 196,000 smallholder farmers. Nearly half of those beneficiaries were women and young people. The companies have not yet disclosed AgroPass’ initial rollout timetable, the number of farmers it will serve or specific financing targets for the platform.
