LASU First-Class Graduate Says Academic Pressure Affected Her Health
A 21-year-old Mass Communication graduate of Lagos State University has shared how the pressure she placed on herself to excel left her stressed, exhausted and noticeably thin during her first year. She graduated with a 4.52 CGPA after becoming more deliberate about her studies from 200 level. She said she learnt to pursue strong grades without sacrificing her health or peace of mind. Alongside academics, she built experience in broadcasting, voiceover work, presenting and content creation. She believes a first-class degree can open doors, but practical skills and mental wellbeing are equally important for career success.
