Sacrifice: The Price of God’s Blessings
Ephesians 1:3 tells me we already have every spiritual blessing in Christ. Yet living in those blessings requires real sacrifice. Abraham’s story in Genesis 22 shows this clearly. He was ready to offer his only son, and God swore by Himself. That highest blessing still reaches countless lives today. Isaac’s parental blessing also demanded effort. Esau had to hunt and prepare a meal. Jacob had to cook what his father loved. Both laboured to secure a blessing no one could reverse. Once, at an airport, two of my spiritual children greeted me. Only the one who carried my bags received my blessing. Jesus taught in Mark 11 that only the fruit-bearing tree is blessed. Serve God faithfully, and His blessings will exceed your imagination.
