Abdulsamad Rabiu Adds $81 Million Bombardier Global 8000 to His Jet Fleet

Nigerian billionaire Abdulsamad Rabiu has taken delivery of a Bombardier Global 8000 jet valued at around $81 million (N110 billion). This addition expands BUA Group’s aviation fleet with one of the world’s most advanced business aircraft, capable of Mach 0.95 and an ultra-long range of 8,000 nautical miles. The new jet joins other high-end business aircraft used for corporate travel, reflecting Rabiu’s need for nonstop intercontinental flights across his cement, food processing, manufacturing and infrastructure operations. The deal was reportedly signed with Bombardier in late 2025. Beyond the headline price, this acquisition underscores how Nigerian-owned conglomerates are scaling up global connectivity. For executives managing multi-billion-dollar businesses, private jets serve as strategic tools as much as symbols of wealth.
