Ikeja Electric Starts Meter Refunds for Eligible Customers

Ikeja Electric says it has begun refunding eligible customers who paid for meters under the Meter Asset Provider programme. The refunds will be credited through customers’ electricity vending transactions during the approved refund period. Customers can check their refund status with their meter or account number. The dashboard displays the meter cost, number and value of refunds, total amount refunded, last refund date and the applicable token sent to the customer’s registered phone number or email. The company also warned residents against using unqualified electricians or allowing anyone to tamper with power lines and electrical infrastructure. Customers were advised to report unsafe activity through official channels and keep a safe distance from high-voltage lines.
