Illinois Veterinarian Suspected of Killing Four Relatives Before Taking His Own Life

Police in Mundelein, Illinois, say a 51-year-old veterinarian allegedly shot and killed his parents, adult son and longtime partner before taking his own life at his parents' home on October 18. Officers found several notes believed to have been written by the suspect, as well as electronic devices and other evidence now being reviewed. Authorities have not disclosed what the notes contained. The investigation began after the family requested a welfare check. Police believe the deaths occurred between late morning and early afternoon, but say the motive has not yet been established.
