Veteran Nollywood actor and former professional footballer Diewait Ikpechukwu has died at the age of 71. Family sources say he passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026, after a prolonged illness. Before beginning his decades-long acting career, Ikpechukwu played professional football. He became known for roles in films including August Meeting, Royal Palace, The Guilty, Across the River, Python King and Ìjé Love.
