Arming Yourself: The Full Armor of God for Spiritual Victory
Be strong in the Lord and rely on His mighty power. Ephesians 6:10–18 urges us to put on every piece of God’s armor so we can stand firm against spiritual forces of evil. Gird your waist with truth and wear the breastplate of righteousness. Shod your feet with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Above all, take up the shield of faith to extinguish every fiery dart of the wicked, wear the helmet of salvation, and wield the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. As 2 Corinthians 10:3–6 reminds us, our weapons are mighty through God to demolish strongholds and capture every thought in obedience to Christ. Stay prayerful and watchful for all believers.
