Raphinha Scores Twice as Barcelona Thrash Elche 5-0 in La Liga Opener

Barcelona opened their 2026/27 La Liga campaign with a commanding 5-0 win over Elche. Raphinha scored twice, while Karim Adeyemi and Fermín López also found the net. Raphinha put Barcelona ahead from the penalty spot after being fouled by Víctor Chust. He later assisted Adeyemi’s first league goal for the club in first-half stoppage time. Anthony Gordon made a major impact after coming on in the 64th minute. The winger set up Raphinha’s second before creating another goal for Fermín within four minutes. Fermín added a second late on to complete the rout. The result gives Hansi Flick’s side an emphatic start to their title defence, although Lamine Yamal appeared short of full fitness.
