Ondo Police Arrest Man Over Alleged Sexual Assault of 15-Year-Old Girl
The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man over the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in Omifon, Odigbo Local Government Area. Police said the girl’s guardian reported the case on August 2, 2026. The matter was first reported at the Odigbo Divisional Police Station and later transferred to the Gender-Based Offences Unit for further investigation. The command said the survivor has been placed in appropriate care while investigators follow established procedures for alleged sexual offences involving minors. The Commissioner of Police has ordered a thorough investigation and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant over the welfare of children in their care.
