Kiky Festus’ Veekee James Wedding Gown Blends Cathedral Architecture With Couture
Kiky Festus wore a custom Veekee James gown for her wedding to fellow doctor and fashion creator Akin Faminu. The white dress featured a sculpted corset, a fitted silhouette, a sweeping chapel train and a cathedral-length veil. Its standout feature was the church-inspired detailing. Hand-stitched micro-beads formed Gothic arches, lancet windows, spires and vaulted patterns across the bodice and skirt. Pointed lace around the neckline, sleeves and hem echoed the architectural theme. The look was completed with pearl-detailed illusion sleeves, a high bun, neutral bridal makeup and a simple baby’s-breath bouquet. The gown’s intricate craftsmanship made it one of the memorable details of the wedding.
