Lagos Police Investigate Viral Clash Between Officers and Youths in Surulere
The Lagos State Police Command has opened an investigation into a viral video showing a physical confrontation between police officers and some youths in Surulere. The footage, which circulated on September 5, shows a young man and an officer holding each other’s shirts during a tense shoving match. The events that led to the clash are still unclear. Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi said the command has begun an inquiry. The people seen in the video have been asked to report to the Police Public Relations Officer at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja to assist with the investigation.
