FG Revitalises 4,434 Primary Healthcare Centres Nationwide
The Federal Government says it has completed or is nearing completion of the refurbishment of 4,434 primary healthcare centres across Nigeria. The National Primary Health Care Development Agency said 3,526 facilities have been renovated, commissioned and handed over to states and local governments, while work continues at 908 others. The agency said the centres are being equipped with reliable electricity, solar power, water and sanitation facilities. It is also targeting one Level-2 primary healthcare centre in every ward and 8,800 Level-1 facilities nationwide. A live geocoded dashboard has also been introduced to help Nigerians find nearby primary healthcare centres and check the services available.
