Wike Vows to Resign If Rivers Fails to Deliver Votes on January 16
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike says he will resign from President Bola Tinubu’s administration if Rivers State fails to deliver the expected votes on January 16. Speaking in Rivers, Wike said his ministerial appointment reflects the President’s confidence in his political capacity, not only his record on infrastructure. He added that he would return home if he could not win support in Rivers or the FCT. Wike said Rivers must remain politically relevant and compete with Lagos in voter turnout. He also described the Rainbow Coalition as an arrangement aimed at preventing political violence and instability in the state.
