Nigerian Troops Kill Four Bandit Kingpins in Katsina Ambush
Troops of the 17 Brigade in Katsina foiled an ambush on the Turare–Yantumaki Road and neutralised four suspected terrorists linked to a feared kingpin, Muhammadu Fulani. Authorities recovered an AK-47 rifle with ammunition, two motorcycles, several mobile phones and ₦153,400 in cash. Some phones contained images of the suspects in military gear, now set for forensic analysis. This operation is a major setback for bandit networks terrorising parts of Matazu, Musawa, Charanchi and Kankia. The state government vows to sustain the offensive until peace returns and urges residents to keep sharing community intelligence.
