Nollywood actress Blessing Obasi shared a heartfelt moment from her parenting journey. She recalled smacking her young son when he was upset about being left with the nanny and began hurting himself by hitting his head against the wall. After the incident, she cried and then spoke to him in a gentle, reassuring way. The mother of one stressed that while gentle parenting is ideal, it doesn’t always work in every situation. She said there are times a firmer rebuke is necessary before reconnecting through positive talk. Blessing married fellow actor Stan Nze in 2021. They welcomed their first child, Jay, in 2023, dedicated him at church and have often spoken about the faith and resilience that carried them through doubts about starting a family.
