Gunmen Kill 15-year-old Herder, 13 Cattle Dead in Plateau Attack
A 15-year-old cattle herder, Sadi Aliyu, was shot dead by suspected gunmen while tending his herd in Sabon Gidan Kanar, Jos South LGA of Plateau State. The attackers also killed 13 cattle and left 11 missing in the assault on the grazing community. The Plateau chapter chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) confirmed the fatalities and loss of livestock. The incident has been reported to Bukuru B Division of the Nigeria Police Force and Sector 6 of Operation Enduring Peace. MACBAN has called on security agencies to investigate the attack, apprehend those responsible and ensure they face justice. Leaders warned against reprisals and urged residents to allow security forces to handle the matter lawfully. They also appealed to federal, state and local authorities to strengthen measures that protect lives and property across all communities.
