Two Women Remanded Over Alleged False Access Bank Closure Post
A Federal High Court in Lagos has remanded Idorenyin Umobh and Finness Esu after they pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy, publishing false information and cyberstalking. Prosecutors alleged that the women circulated a message claiming Access Bank would shut down on September 23. The message reportedly urged customers to close their accounts and withdraw their money. Justice Akintayo Aluko ordered their remand while the defence prepares a bail application. The case was adjourned until November 25 for trial.
