NDCCITMA Denies Stealing Niger Delta Economic Summit Idea, Cites Ministry Approval
We reject allegations that we copied or appropriated the idea for the Niger Delta Economic and Investment Summit from another organisation. We state that an economic summit is a broad concept used by governments, investors, businesses and development partners worldwide. We also say our approval from the Federal Ministry of Trade was obtained in August 2025, while the other application was reportedly still pending as of September 2025. We add that a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, in Suit No. FHC/PHC/CS/57/2026, restrained the plaintiff from further interfering with the planned summit. We maintain that our activities were developed independently and in line with relevant laws and regulatory processes.
