JAMB Raises FUTES Iyin Ekiti Admission Quota to 3,300 Students
The Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti (FUTES), has received approval to admit up to 3,300 students following an increase in its JAMB admission quota. The university began academic activities in January 2026 with 1,564 students across 35 departments and four faculties: Natural and Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Computing and Information Technology, and Environmental Sciences. The Vice-Chancellor said FUTES plans to add programmes including Medicine, Nursing, Anatomy, Physiology, Artificial Intelligence, Telecommunication Science, and Tourism and Hospitality Management. The institution also says it is expanding classrooms, laboratories, hostels and ICT facilities while working to maintain a stable academic calendar.
