Kylian Mbappé says winning the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid matters more to him than any individual honour. The French forward spoke after Madrid began their 2026/27 campaign with a 2-1 win over Inter Milan at the Santiago Bernabéu. Mbappé scored in the 14th minute to draw level with Raúl’s total of 71 Champions League goals, while Federico Valverde added Madrid’s second before Carlos Augusto replied for Inter. Despite his personal scoring records, Mbappé said Real Madrid must focus on becoming a united side capable of competing with Europe’s best teams. He added that the club is expected to challenge for major trophies every season.
