APC Warns Against False Claims in Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero Primary

Two separate groups have issued conflicting statements claiming Hon. Abdul-Raheem Tunji Olawuyi and Hon. Florence Olasumbo each won the APC House of Representatives primary for Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero. Neither claim is true. Neither group is recognized under the APC Constitution or empowered to announce primary results. Only the duly appointed Electoral Panel and Appeal Panel can declare winners. This misuse of “elder” titles undermines internal democracy and may involve fraud or defamation. The party leadership and public are urged to rely solely on official certified results and disregard any unverified statements.

It's telling that neither statement comes from an officially recognized APC body, yet confusion still reigns.

APC members in Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/Oke-Ero should await the official electoral committee release before accepting any result.
