Court Remands Kano Housewife Over Alleged Poisoning of Three-Day-Old Stepson
A Magistrates’ Court in Kano has ordered the remand of Zayya Magaji in connection with the alleged poisoning death of her three-day-old stepson. The resident of Danbango village in Kabo Local Government Area appeared before Justice Auwal Yusuf. Prosecutor Barrister Muhammad Aliyu presented the charges, which were read by court registrar Nafiu San. Magaji pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor informed the court that the case file has been forwarded to the State Ministry of Justice for legal advice. The court adjourned proceedings to April 29 and ordered the defendant to remain in custody.
