Wardley: Ben Davison Could Give Joshua an Edge Against Fury
Fabio Wardley believes Ben Davison’s past work with Tyson Fury could give Anthony Joshua useful tactical insight when the heavyweights meet at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on December 11. Davison has trained both fighters and will be in Joshua’s corner. Wardley said a trainer’s knowledge can matter, but the plan must still be built around the strengths of the boxer in front of him. Former champion George Groves also dismissed Fury’s claim that Davison is a traitor. He said shared coaching histories are common in boxing and that Joshua may benefit most from having a familiar voice in his corner during a high-pressure fight.
