Yamal’s Uncle Says Harry Kane Did Not Deserve Ballon d’Or Over His Nephew

Lamine Yamal’s uncle, Abdul, has criticised the Ballon d’Or result, saying the Barcelona teenager was overlooked in favour of Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane. In an interview with a Spanish radio programme, Abdul said Yamal’s flair, influence and ability to excite fans make him the better player. He acknowledged Kane’s goalscoring record but argued that supporters would rather watch Yamal. He also suggested Yamal’s age worked against him, adding that the youngster has enough time to win several Ballon d’Or awards in the future.
