Wirtz Would Be Better at Bayern Munich Than Liverpool, Says Hoeness

Bayern Munich honorary president Uli Hoeness believes Florian Wirtz would be performing at a higher level if he had joined Bayern instead of Liverpool. Hoeness said Liverpool have not properly integrated the German playmaker into their attack. He argued that Wirtz had more influence at Bayer Leverkusen, where the team was built around him. Wirtz chose Liverpool over Bayern in 2025 after leaving Leverkusen. Hoeness said he had hoped to see Wirtz play alongside Bayern midfielder Jamal Musiala.
