Lampard Hails Alex Iwobi as One of His Best Players as a Manager
Frank Lampard has praised Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi, calling him one of the standout players of his managerial career. Iwobi recently said Lampard helped revive his career during their time together at Everton. The Coventry City manager played down the claim but praised Iwobi’s quality, work ethic and consistency in training. Lampard said Iwobi’s versatility was crucial during Everton’s relegation battle, adding that the Fulham player made a major impact both on the pitch and in the dressing room. Iwobi recorded 11 goal involvements in 40 appearances under Lampard at Everton. The pair will meet again when Fulham host Coventry City this weekend.
