Let the Holy Spirit Guide Your Decisions
One lesson I learnt from today’s quiet time is the importance of seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance instead of letting natural instincts make our decisions. Jude 1:19 describes people who are worldly and do not have the Spirit, reminding us to consider what guides our choices. Scripture reading: Jude 1:1–25. Our feelings and desires do not always align with God’s will. Jeremiah 17:9 and Proverbs 14:12 warn us that our judgment can lead us astray. Rather than relying only on what feels right, we can seek God’s direction through His Word, prayer and obedience. Galatians 5:16 calls us to walk in the Spirit, while Romans 8:14 says that those led by God’s Spirit are His children. This does not mean we stop thinking or exercising judgment. It means we submit our thoughts and desires to God and listen for His leading, even when it differs from what we naturally want. May the Holy Spirit guide our decisions and help us obey Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
