Troops of the Joint Task Force North East under Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a wanted terrorist informant in Borno State. The suspect, 30-year-old Ali Muhammad, was detained at Ngamdu Market by soldiers of the 254 Battalion. Security forces seized cash, a keypad phone, identification cards, charms, a knife and an exercise book with phone numbers linked to terrorist contacts. He has been transferred to Sector 2 Headquarters for detailed interrogation. Commanders say the arrest deals a major blow to the insurgents’ local intelligence network.
