Ogun Records West Africa’s First Tele-Robotic Surgery as South-East Investment Question Emerges
Redeemer’s Health Village in Mowe, Ogun State, has performed what is described as West Africa’s first tele-robotic surgery. It has also received Federal Government backing, including plans for a Robotic Surgery Academy. The development raises questions about access to specialised healthcare across Nigeria. Should the Federal Government support advanced medical centres, research and health technology facilities in all six geopolitical zones?
