Senator Ibrahim Lamido of Sokoto East has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress. In a letter dated April 22, 2026, he told the APC ward chairman in Isa Local Government that ongoing leadership disputes and divisions in the state party made it impossible to continue in good conscience. He expressed gratitude for his time in the party and wished it success in resolving its challenges. He is now expected to pick up his membership card from the African Democratic Congress.
