Alleged Fake Agency DG Remanded in Kuje Over Forgery, Impersonation Charges
Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has been remanded at Kuje Correctional Centre after pleading not guilty to an eight-count charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja. Adeyemi is accused of conspiracy, forgery and impersonation over an alleged fictitious agency known as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. Prosecutors allege that he and two others still at large forged presidential appointment letters, State House documents and other official correspondence. The Attorney-General of the Federation took over the case from the police. The court adjourned proceedings to October 12, 2026, for trial and the hearing of Adeyemi's bail application. He had earlier been arrested after failing to appear for arraignment.
